Document Description
The North Coast Interceptor (NCI) is part of a pipeline conveyance system that conveys sewer flows from the City of Laguna Beach and the Emerald Bay Community Services District to the South Orange County Wastewater Authority (SOCWA) Coastal Treatment Plant (CTP) in Aliso Canyon. The proposed project is the replacement of the existing NCI Reach 5 through Aliso Canyon by a combination of open trench, horizontal directional drilling (HOD) installation, and slip lining. The goal of the project is to completely replace the existing NCI Reach 5 with new dual parallel pipelines that will provide redundancy and the ability to maintain a reliable and safe conveyance of wastewater to the SOCWA CTP.
