Document Description
This project is for the installation of two vault restrooms at Diaz Lake Campground. One will be installed adjacent to the day use area/ADA boat launch, and the other will be installed at the north-west corner of the campground. The purpose of this project is to have available restrooms for public access to mitigate negative environmental impacts from human waste. The beneficiaries of this project are the public that recreate at Diaz Lake Campground by having restrooms more readily accessible from recreation areas.

Reasons for Exemption
New vault restrooms are being placed in areas that are already impacted by recreation use and is void of native vegetation. The areas where restrooms will be installed have been graded with heavy machinery previously when the campground was created. The vault toilets are pre-cast concrete buildings made by a company called CXT that are in use by many state and federal agencies in public lands.
