Document Description
The Plumas Sierra Telecommuncations (PST) proposes the Janesville-Milford Broadband Project in the Janesville and Milford communities of Lassen County. The proposed project includes 33.5 miles of aerial fiber installation on existing overhead electrical pole structures and 1.9 miles of underground installation of fiber conduit in existing public utility easements considered previously disturbed off Highway 395.

Under Decision D. 22-04-055 and under Resolution T-17826 the CPUC Commission determined that these projects planned by Surfnet, would fall within one of several categorical exemptions under CEQA. Section 15301 consists of operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. Additionally, 15302 and 15303, 15304 consist of replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities and new construction or conversion of small structures or minor alterations to land, respectively.
