Document Description
The purpose of this project is to replace a failing section of sewer mainline using an emergency contract. If repairs are not made the presence of raw sewage and odorous gasses could present a threat to the property and essential public services. Work is entirely within State owned property. This emergency project would remove and replace approximately 65 lineal feet of existing sewer main at the Caltrans Bakersfield Maintenance yard building located at 1200 Olive Drive in Bakersfield. Scope of work includes: sawcut and demolition, excavate and expose sewer main, remove and replace sewer main, backfill and compact, and patch concrete and install tiles for flooring.
