Reasons for Exemption
Project is categorically exempt, consistent with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 (CEQA) and the State CEQA Guidelines, pursuant to Title 14, Cal. Code Regulations Section 15301 Existing Facilities. The use of Section 15301 is applicable and appropriate as the subject site is already being used as a Contractor’s Storage Yard since 2019. The intent of the project is to bring the facility into compliance. No new structures are being proposed. Therefore, the lead agency concludes that the proposed project fits under the exemption as the project is consistent with the Tulare County Zoning Ordinance.
