Document Description
The project consists of the two following areas within the City of Santa Clarita. The first project area is located in the East side of the City of Santa Clarita, just West of State Highway 14 and North of Golden Valley Road on Abdale Street, Maplebay Court, and Beachgrove Court. The project in this area generally consists of installation of approximately 3,000 linear feet of an 8-inch diameter ductile iron pipeline and appurtenances. The second project area is located on Smyth Drive from Dickason Drive to approximately 1,400 feet to the West. The project generally consists of installation of approximately 1,400 linear feet of a 16-inch diameter ductile iron pipeline and appurtenances. Staff is proposing to replace the abovementioned waterlines as it would help reduce water line breaks in these areas, help with the overall maintenance workload, and provide safe and reliable source of water to our customers in these areas. The project may include select new service laterals, hydrant laterals, and blow-off valves within the street rights-of-way for new connections.
