Document Description
This is a riparian restoration project that will involve removal of invasive plants (mostly English ivy, Himalayan blackberry, privet, and smilograss) in the riparian corridor and replacement with native plantings. Soil bioengineering techniques (the embedding and rooting of native riparian tree cuttings) will be employed to stabilize creek banks and prevent erosion. The project will improve habitat for native wildlife and help to control invasive plant species.
