Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Procession Code Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Cannabis License submitted on 8/11/2020, by Jordan Psigoda. Terpx Inc., applied for a Manufacturing Type 7 Volatile Solvent Extraction and Distribution License in an existing facility. The Project will occupy a facility with a total square footage of approximately 4,415 square feet and operate a Manufacturing Volatile Solvent Extraction License with the following cannabis activities: volatile solvent extraction, infusions, packaging and labelling. Additional project activities include packaging, testing, and distribution of cannabis products. The project size of the distribution suite is approximately 1,479 square feet. There are no exterior changes proposed for the building.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 32 Categorical Exemption Project. Class 32 Categorical Exemptions consist of infill development within urbanized areas. This class consists of environmentally benign infill projects which are consistent with local general plan and zoning requirements. This class is not intended to be applied to projects which would result in any significant traffic, noise, air quality, or water quality effects. The Project involves the use of an existing industrial building with no proposal for exterior changes or the addition of square footage. The design, location, size, and operating characteristics of the Project are compatible with the existing and future land uses within the vicinity. None of the exceptions to the exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply to the Project.
