Document Description
Caltrans proposes a Minor B project to upgrade existing facilities to meet current standards at the Northbound exit and entrance ramps to I-5, PM R36.043, along Eastbound Via De La Valle in the City of San Diego. Project work will include minimal ground disturbance, concrete work (removal/disposal and installation), electrical work, disposal of striping, and disposal of metal and electrical waste. There will be minimal ground disturbance to a max depth of 6 inches to remove and replace the curb ramps. Soil underneath the new sidewalk stretch will be compacted and there will be minimal vegetation removal (grass and small shrubs) in this area. Approximately 2-3 feet of sidewalk will be built outside of Caltrans Right-of-Way which will require a permit. All other work including storage and staging will occur within Caltrans Right-of-Way. Environmental Commitments are contained in the ECR.
