Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
PRC Section 21084; CEQA Guidelines Sections 15300 -15333 CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 – Existing Facilities
Reasons for Exemption
Class 1 consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, or minor alteration of existing public or private facilities involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. The project would be completed within the existing asphalt roadway and parking areas and would not require the removal of structures. A limited number of non-native trees will be removed with the construction of larger planting basins to support healthier tree replacement. The project would result in the continued use of an existing facility with little or no expansion of use and is therefore exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
