The Class 1 Categorical Exemption consists of the operation, repair, maintenance,
permitting, leasing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. The Port will enter into a contract to perform the repair, rehabilitation, and/or replacement of existing Port-wide underground wet utilities, including potable water, sanitary sewer, and storm drain systems under the existing Harbor Development Permit (HOP) 23-039 issued in August 2023 for routine maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation activities within the Harbor District. The project involves negligible or no expansion of existing or former use.
