Document Description
The Project includes the proposed Recreation Master Plan, a long-term strategy to fund and build new public parks and trails to meet countywide recreation needs. It identifies needs in five regions and proposes improvements, programs, funding, and strategies for the next 10 to 20 years. The Project also introduces the Recreation Benefit Project (RBP) Program, allowing private developments to contribute to the public recreation system with incentives for eligible projects. To support this, the Project involves a General Plan Amendment and updates to the Land Use and Development Code (LUDC), Montecito LUDC, and Coastal Zoning Ordinance. It also includes targeted rezoning of public park properties to improve zoning map accuracy and support the plan's implementation.
