Document Description
Caltrans proposes a Fire-Fuel Reduction Plan for State Route 14 in Los Angeles County from post-mile (PM) 42-46. The proposed scope of work includes vegetation removal and tree pruning from the right-of-way line to the right-of-way line along the length of the post-miles. Work will be conducted without ground disturbance (only foot traffic) and no bare-mineral earth will be exposed during vegetation removal activities. All work will be conducted within the right-of-way. No heavy equipment use is anticipated. The purpose of this project is to assist the state in wildfire resilience and to meet wildfire resilience goals. The project is needed to assist vegetation and wildfire management and to function as a fuel break or fire control line during emergency operations.
