Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-MEN-32642-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Mary Polson. The Project is limited to two (2) encroachments to upgrade existing culverts (Table 1). Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the existing culverts, replacement with new properly sized culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.

The Polson Stream Crossings Project (Project) meets the criteria for categorical exemption type Class 2; California Code of Regulations, title 14, section 15302 because the project consists of replacement or reconstruction of existing structures. The new structures will be located on the same sites as the structures replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity. The Project also meets the criteria for categorical exemption type Class 4; California Code of Regulations, title 14, section 15304 because it consists of minor alterations in the condition of land, water, and vegetation that do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
