Document Description
The proposed recharge project intends to divert water from a point along Smithneck Creek, tributary to Feather River, to a recharge area to the northeast at a maxium diversion rate of 2 cubic feet per second from December 1st through March 31st. The intent of this diversion is to recharge the shallow groundwater aquifer of the Sierra Valley Subbasin to support critical groundwater dependent ecosystem that provides critical habitat to over 230 bird species and to provide support for local domestic wells.
