Document Description
The purpose of this Project is to replace 31 existing culverts on State Routes 4, 88, and 89 in Alpine County (Enclosure 1). The existing drainage systems at the proposed sites have exceeded design life and have either deteriorated or failed. Twenty culverts will be replaced in-kind and 11 culverts will be upsized. There will also be upgrades to headwalls and end-walls, which include end treatments (flared end sections) and rock slope protection. Permanent impacts to waters will be from the expansion of the culverts. Temporary impacts will result from culvert replacements and equipment/machinery access associated with construction.
