Document Description
Conduct geotechnical investigations at Austin Creek State Recreation Area to identify soil conditions at potential building locations to guide the work of constructing and/or replacing features the were damaged by wildfires. Work will use a truck-mounted drill, equipped with hollow-stem and/or solid flight augers to drill up to four (4) exploratory borings at four (4) different sites (up to 16 borings total). Each boring will range from 10-ft to 30-ft in depth, with representative soil samples recorded for future analysis. Borings will be back filled with excavated materials or neat cement grout and excess materials from the borings will be dispersed on-site as directed by District staff.
