Document Description
The San Luis Obispo County Department of Public Works (County) proposes to replace 362 existing water meters with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI} meters and associated components within the community of Shandon. A central base station and antenna will be installed at the existing water tank located in the CW Clarke Park, which will be used to collect data from the newly installed AMI meters. The antenna will be fastened to the existing tank handrail. which will be reinforced to withstand the appropriate wind loads. A repeater will be installed to a County-owned streetlight by replacing its existing photocell. The system will be integrated in the utilities central management platform to enable real-time data monitoring and secure data transmission.
