Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed
Lake Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number LAK-55426-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Robert Rosemeyer. The project is limited to demolishing and disposing of a 4 foot by 12 foot long pier section and a 14 foot by 28 foot pier sitting area with a 14 foot by 15 foot roof. 12 pilings will be removed. A 4 foot by 40 foot pier section will be repaired with new joists, deck and railing. A 3 foot by 30 foot gangway and 20 foot by 23 foot boatlift with a gable roof will be constructed in place of the removed sections. The existing pier is attached to a cinderblock seawall, the new construction will be attached to six new metal pilings driven using a free fall hammer method, with a slow start pace to avoid impacting fish in the area. No digging, constant vibration or drilling will be used. No vegetation is present in the impacted areas. All construction activities will be performed in the lake with the use of pontoon boats and barge. 9080 Soda Bay Road will be used for launching and staging materials on the barge.
