Document Description
Caltrans will provide traffic control, install electrical wiring/conduits, and install theft deterrent measures along SR 905 between Britannia Boulevard and La Media Road in the Otay Mesa area of San Diego County close to the Mexican border, which is merely a replacement in kind job. All work will occur within Caltrans right-of-way. The scope of this emergency contract is to replace stolen wire and restore the lighting in the area, which is beyond the capacity of field maintenance forces. Caltrans field maintenance crews responded in a timely manner; however, work beyond the capacity of field maintenance remains such due to the bulk ordering and installation of materials and theft deterrents. Other related damages discovered in the field will be repaired as needed. All work will be on the paved travel way within Caltrans right-of-way, and it is anticipated that there will be no ground disturbance, and no vegetation removal, as this project is merely a replacement in kind job.
