Document Description
The City of Redding (City) proposes inspection of a 10-inch natural gas pipeline at up to three (3) locations along the shoulder of Clear Creek Road to verify results of a previously performed In-Line Inspection (ILI). Work will include excavation to expose the pipeline, abrasive blasting to strip the pipeline coating, verifying anomalies and ILI report data with 3D and ultrasonic scanning, re-coating and tape wrapping the piping, repairing damaged surface features with a steel weld sleeve or composite wrap, backfilling disturbed surface areas and repairing (paving, concrete, revegetation) those areas back to pre-construction conditions.

The project will inspect and repair as needed existing infrastructure in the same location and serving the same purpose and capacity. In addition, the project will occur in previously disturbed areas and the current footprint of the utility. Therefore, the project has no potential to have a significant effect on the environment and further environmental review is not required.
