Document Description
The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to construct approximately 1,300 feet of Willard Street from SH-74 to Whittier Avenue. The proposed project will include grading and moisture conditioning the roadway width and paving with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Concrete. Willard Street is currently a dirt road that is approximately 26 feet wide and will maintain its current road width of 26 feet after construction. Willard St is classified as a Local Road.
The proposed project will also include:
• Pavement Delineation, pavement markings, and reflectors
• Removal and installation of signs
• Vegetation (Trees and Bushes) Trimming and/or Stump Removal

Reasons for Exemption
The project proposes to construct approximately 1,300 feet of Willard Street from SH-74 to Whittier Avenue. The proposed project will include grading and moisture conditioning the roadway width and paving with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Concrete. The project in its entirety is consistent with Section 15301(c) because it does not create additional traffic lanes and involves no expansion of use of the existing roadway and associated facilities.
