Document Description
The El Dorado Irrigation District (District) proposes to stabilize and/or replace sewer lines, forcemain pipeline, lift station, and manhole equipment in multiple locations throughout the communities of El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park, Shingle Springs, and Placerville (4-manholes and 6-pipeline segments). The purpose of the project is to fix manhole equipment and sewer lines that have been damaged or exposed due to excessive storm events and are at risk of failure. The Project construction would include replacement of existing manhole risers, cones, barrels, and pipeline segments (Approximately 1,400 linear feet) with placement of rip rap adjacent to the newly replaced equipment. Work activities will be similar at each site. The following locations are identified for pipeline rehabilitation as shown on Attachment A: Location Map: Location #1 (Manhole #104, #105, #106 & Pipe #305) – Located in a small community park area adjacent to Royal Drive, access from Country Club Drive in Cameron Park. Location #2 (Pipe #310) – Located in backyard drainage area between Chelsea Road and Sheridan Road in Cameron Park. Location #3 (Manhole #107) – Located along the west side of Silva Valley Parkway, across from Oak Meadow Elementary School in El Dorado Hills. Location #4 (Pipes #312 & #313) – Located along Governor Drive near the intersection with Warren Lane in El Dorado Hills. Location #5 (Pipe #309) – Located on the west side of Cambridge Road near the intersection with Country Club Drive in Cameron Park Location #6 (Pipe #301) – Located near the intersection of Missouri Flat Road and Enterprise Drive in Placerville. To complete the Project, a vacuum truck would be used to ensure old manhole equipment and pipeline segments are cleared of raw sewage. An excavator would be used to excavate the old manhole equipment and pipeline segments, as well as excavate/clean-up the existing trench for installation of the new equipment. The excavator and/or backhoe would also be used to install pipe bedding and rip rap protection. A concrete truck would provide concrete for the manhole cones, barrels, and pipeline encasement used to protect the pipelines from future damage Work activities at each site are scheduled to begin summer of 2025 during seasonally dry months with construction activities estimated to be completed in approximately 5-years. Work activities at all sites would occur during the normal business hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, or 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
