Document Description
Marin Catholic High School, a private educational institution in the unincorporated community of Kentfield, proposes to install a new field lighting system and wayfinding lighting at its athletic stadium (Don Ghilotti Motta Athletic Stadium). The proposed field lighting system includes four galvanized steel standards (poles), equipped with different fixture arrays, mounted on pre-cast concrete bases of approximately 16 square feet each. The poles would reach a maximum height of 80 feet above grade and be symmetrically positioned within the athletic stadium. The proposed wayfinding lighting includes 16 die-cast aluminum poles, each equipped with a single arm supporting the lighting fixture. The poles would reach a maximum height of 16 feet above grade and would illuminate the pedestrian paths outside of the athletic stadium. Marin Catholic would operate the field lighting system for no more than 135 calendar days in any given year, arranged as follows: competitive field lights concluding at approximately 9:30 p.m. are limited to 10 total days per calendar year; competitive field lights concluding at approximately 8:15 p.m. are limited to 55 total days per calendar year; practice field lights concluding at 7:15 p.m. are limited to 45 total days per calendar year; and practice field lights concluding at 9:15 p.m. are limited to 25 total days per calendar year.
