The main objective of the Proposed Project is to provide a modern terminal facility that improves the passenger and employee experience, improves energy efficiency, and meets the latest seismic and structural safety standards.

The Proposed Project would involve the renovation (repair and minor alteration) and reconstruction of the existing structure, including utilities, with a new structure that would have substantially the same purpose, size, and capacity as the structure replaced. The reconstructed structure would include reconstructed utility
systems and/or facilities with negligible expansion of capacity. No expansion or change to the existing use of the facility would occur. Therefore, the CEQA Class 2 exemption applies to this discretionary action.
