Document Description
UC Davis proposes to add additional exterior lighting on pathways and sidewalks, expand the campus Emergency Call Box network, and install additional video surveillance system components on the Davis Campus. The project will install seven new Emergency Call Boxes at various locations on campus, install security cameras to light poles at nine key roadway entries and intersections across campus, and improve lighting at seven locations across Campus . New light polls will follow the Campus Design Guide Lights will be approximately 16-feet ta ll streetlights or 12-foot tall decorative pedestrian light poles with downward facing and cutoff 3000K LED lights These lights replace the existing globe lights and move existing lights away from trees . An archeological monitoring plan will be prepared and incorporated as part of the project implementation

This exemption applies to the operation, repair, permitting, leasing, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities or mechanical equipment, involving negligible or no expansion of an existing use. In addition, none of the exceptions for application of a categorical exemption apply to this project
