Document Description
The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing
to construct approximately 1,260-feet of wire mesh fence and 1,360 feet of Earthen Swale to
improve localized drainage at the Limonite Interchange along southbound Interstate 15.
The project will include the following:
• Construction of vegetated Earthen Swale
• Construction of 3X3 rip-rap pad
• Removal of existing fence and replace with 6’ high wire mesh fence
• Any other work as may be required.

The project proposes to construct approximately 1,260- feet of wire mesh fence and 1,360 feet of Earthen Swale to improve localized drainage along southbound Interstate 15. The project in its entirety is consistent with Section 15301(c) because it does not create additional automobile lanes and involves no expansion of use of the existing roadway and associated facilities. The Riverside County Transportation Department has found that the above-described project is exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), based on the following:
