Placement of Type II Slurry Seal and AC Overlays on various areas within the City. General work will include best management practices, mobilization, traffic control, cold milling, asphalt concrete overlay, slurry seal, asphalt concrete dig-outs in localized areas, curb ramps adjustment of survey monuments, manholes and valve covers to grade, installation of loop detectors, pavement striping, markings and markers and other miscellaneous improvements as shown on the plans and as required to complete the work.

Reasons for Exemption
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Division 6, Chapter 3, Article 19. Section 15301 (c) states that a project which consists of minor repairs and maintenance to existing highways and streets, sidewalks, gutters, bicycle and pedestrian trails, and similar facilities does not have a significant impact on the environment. Therefore, because the project includes minor repairs, maintenance and alteration of existing highways, streets, sidewalks, or similar features, the project is exempt per CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (c).
