Document Description
Project consists of the installation of a new infiltrator septic system at the Public Safety Office in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park to provide employees with a functioning restroom facility. On the south side of the Public Safety Office work will:
• Excavate two (2) forty-foot-long trenches, install stainless steel gopher wire mesh at the base of each trench and install an infiltrator system on top of the mesh;
• Excavate one (1) thirty-foot-long trench to install a PVC “T” connection and backwater valve; and
• Backfill the trenches with excavated soils.

Project consists of operation, repair, and maintenance or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond current levels, included as “utility repairs or minor upgrades” in the Department of Parks and Recreation’s list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR §15300.4; replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced; and consists of minor public or private alterations in the condition of land and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
