Document Description
Two Land Conservation “Williamson Act” contracts had documents that were recorded with incorrect information. Land Conservation Contract No. 621 had a Notice of Non-Renewal recorded in 2008 referencing an incorrect contract number and incorrect original landowner name. Land Conservation Contract No. 2054 was recorded in 2004 as a requirement of a Lot Line Adjustment and contained an incorrect legal description of the land to be included. Corrective affidavits have been recorded with each original document as a “re-recording” to fix the errors.

The activity is covered by the common-sense exemption that CEQA applies only to projects, which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. Where it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment, the activity is not subject to CEQA. Recording corrective affidavits to make minor corrections to documents that were recorded in 2004 and 2008 does not have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment.
