Document Description
The purpose of this project is to install a propane powered backup generator at the Diablo Range District Office to power the building during outages. Diablo Range District staff and a licensed electrical contractor will: Use heavy equipment to grade and compact a 10 -ft x 10 -ft previously disturbed area with road base on the northwestern corner of the District Office; Pour a 8-ft x 8-ft x 6-in concrete pad; Dig an 18-inch-wide x 2-foot-deep x 30-foot-long trench for approximately 150 feet from the concrete pad to the propane tank and tie into the existing propane line with a 1" T fitting and regulator assembly; Dig an 18-inch-wide x 2-foot-deep trench for approximately 15 feet to wards the electrical panel to connect with existing power lines where a licensed electrical contractor will wire into the power panel; Cover propane line in sand then backfill with excavated materials and compact to original grade.
