Document Description
Approval of Minor Alteration No. WA2025032, under California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Article 3, Section 6, for work within an adopted plan of flood control: To repair two levee landside slips along the Colusa Basin Drainage Canal East Levee consistent with Standard Operations and Maintenance Manual for the Sacramento River Flood Control Project SAC000 (Standard O&M Manual), Section 4-02. Site A is a 640-foot-long segment located at levee mile 17.2 and Site B is a 150-foot-long segment located at Levee Mile 12.7. The proposed work includes excavating the existing levee below the slip plane and removing the slipped material, as well as reconstruction of the levee section to the existing profile elevation and cross-section with suitable excavated levee material and import fill. Backfill material will be benched into the levee and compacted to ASTM D698 standards. Revegetation would occur with an approved seed mix and existing vegetation would only be removed to the extent necessary for the erosion repair.
