Reasons for Exemption
Project is the grading and earthmoving activities to redevelop and replant an existing vineyard developed under Agricultural Erosion Control Plan # 99351-ECPA and Department of Forestry and Fire Protection Conversion Exemption #1-98-EX-810-NAP, that includes the replacement and maintenance of erosion and runoff control measures and vineyard infrastructure. The existing vineyard area to be redeveloped is not situated on a recognized hazardous waste site, in an area of instability, or in a biologically sensitive area. This redevelopment and replanting of existing vineyard developed will not adversely affect cultural or scenic resources, or substantially interfere with the movement of wildlife. Additionally, it will not contribute to increases in local off-site stream flows or sediment levels, or result in reductions in groundwater recharge or groundwater levels, or decrease available wildlife habitat, or result in any significant changes in other environmental parameters. Finally, there are no unusual circumstances associated with this vineyard redevelopment that would cause it to have a significant effect on the environment.
