Document Description
This project would remove and replace approximately 10,476 linear feet of existing 30 and 33-inch concrete pipe with new 30-inch PVC pipe. Additionally, the project would install a new master meter with isolation valves, regulatory meter, temporary highline bypass, and nine meters. The proposed improvements also include private property restoration such as fences, landscaping, softscape and hardscape, dirt access roads and driveways. Public right-of-way street improvements would also be required. Excavation of the pipeline trench will be approximately 4-6 feet below ground surface to allow placement of the new PVC piping. The objective of these improvements is to increase the operational efficiency, enhance water conservation, and improve customer service. Surrounding land uses consist of residential, agricultural, open space and roadways. The Project is anticipated to take place over the course of 9 months, traffic control will be in place and only partial street closure will be required. The project is not located within or adjacent to a conservation area associated with the Coachella Valley Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan. Ground disturbance and construction activities would occur within pre-disturbed soils.
