Class 1 exemptions include the operation, repair, maintenance, or minor alteration of existing facilities, structures, or equipment involving negligible or no expansion of use. The project is the installation of a fire alerting system at the City Fire Department headquarters and stations. All work will be conducted inside the various structures. The project does not involve change of or expansion of use and is intended to improve service to the residents. Therefore, the project has no potential to have a significant effect on the environment and further environmental review is not required.
