Document Description
The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) proposes to place land into federal trust status for the benefit of the Pit River Tribe (Tribe). The land, known as the "Burney Property" (Project Site) is currently owned in fee by the Tribe and consists of approximately 65.25 acres in Shasta County, California. The Burney Property is intended to be used for non- gaming purposes (Proposed Action), and subsequent development by the Tribe for housing, Tribal Council chambers, offices, and meeting spaces with associated parking and infrastructure.
