Document Description
The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing
to conduct a geotechnical investigation to evaluate subsurface soils and conditions to support the design of bridge reconstruction and widening of the existing Nuevo Road Bridge over a portion of the San Jacinto River (Bridge #56C-0004). The project is located in the unincorporated community of Nuevo, approximately three (3) miles east of the City of Perris. Six geotechnical borings would be drilled on or adjacent to the alignment of the existing Nuevo Road Bridge and within the County of Riverside right-of-way. Access will be along established dirt road and/or existing highway. No grading will be done to access the boring locations. The boreholes would be drilled using a truck-mounted rotary-wash drilling system equipped with a five-inch diameter drill bit attached to hollow steel rod. Each borehole would be drilled to a maximum depth of 80 feet below the existing grade.
