Document Description
The Federal Transit Administration (FT A), working in partnership with Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), proposes improvements at the Expo/Crenshaw station in Los Angeles, California (Project). The Project would support safe and convenient transfers between transportation modes, facilitate first-last-mile connections to transit, and ensure equitable travel options for those with limited mobility choices. Although areas immediately surrounding the Project are nonresidential, nearby transit-oriented communities (TOCs) would provide a steady and growing stream of foot traffic once the Project is operational. The Expo/Crenshaw station provides a connection between the Metro E Lino (al-grade light rail transit (LRT)) and the Metro K Line (underground LRT) at the southeast comer of Cronshaw Boulevard and West Exposition Boulevard. All Project improvements are anticipated to be within City of Los Angeles-owned right-of-way.
