Document Description
The SCUSD has prepared a Master Plan intended to modernize the campus and update facilities for current and projected school needs at Bracher Elementary School. Full buildout of the Master Plan includes a new multipurpose building, cooking kitchen, shaded outdoor lunch area; new preschool, transitional kindergarten, specialized academic instruction classroom buildings, and play area with shade; metal PE shade structure, new driveways and parking, and accessibility, utilities, paving, fencing, and roofing improvements. Full build out would ultimately support 35 classrooms and a maximum capacity of 870 students, which represents eight more classrooms and 205 more students than are currently accommodated. Other improvements include field improvements, classroom modernization, replacement of portables with permanent buildings, additional student support spaces, maker space, an administration building. The intent of the Master Plan is to modernize the campus and update facilities for current and projected school needs. Currently, funding has only been identified for Phase 1 with other improvements identified in the Master Plan to be completed as funding becomes available for each phase.
