Document Description
The California Department of Transportation proposes roof repairs at the Bakersfield Maintenance Station Aerial & Tree Shop and to replace the evaporative coolers at the Taft Maintenance Station Equipment Shop/Truck Barn. The Bakersfield Maintenance Station is in Kern County along SR 99 at Post Mile 27.9 and the Taft Maintenance Station is in Kern County along SR 33 at Post Mile 20.5. All work for this project will be performed within existing right of way. The Aerial & Tree Crew building has experienced significant roof deterioration. There is leaking from the roof, which has caused insulation to start to hang and discolor, it needs the roof repairs and insulation replacement. The Equipment Shop/Truck Barn has four evaporative coolers that are not functioning properly, outdated, and need to be replaced. This project proposes to contract out to fix these issues. All work for this project will be performed within existing right of way.
