Document Description
The Oakland Seaport services container ships entering San Francisco Bay through unloading of containers at berths throughout its terminals. Wharves at Ben E. Nutter and Matson terminals have been identified as requiring repair of concrete delamination on their underside areas, requiring approximately 50,000 and 20,000 square feet, respectively of concrete repair and additional surface treatment to mitigate further damage. The Port will repair these wharves to return them to full functionality and safety. Specific repair methods may include patching concrete, installing temporary framework beneath the wharf to allow for concrete injection, or waterside based concrete repair. There will be no pile driving, no fill, and no dredging associated with this project.
