Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-LAN-46317-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Los Angeles County Department of Water and Power.
The Project proposes to repair the 3.82-mile portion of the ADL-TOL L1 damaged by the Station Fire. Repair work consists of replacing the conductors and patching the damaged conductor portion of the line. Seven staging areas will be developed to house equipment for replacing the damaged conductors. The reconductoring work will require three existing suspension type towers to be converted to have dead-end arms. The access road will also require grading to enable access for construction crews and equipment. Equipment planned for the road grading work includes: utility body truck, loader, stake-side trailer, backhoe, mower, grader, skip loader, cat D6, stake bed truck, 10-yard dump truck, and trailer tanker axel. Work would be limited to the area between Tower 46-3 on the northeast and the North Fork Station at Tower 50-2 on the southwest. For areas not within previously disturbed areas, the work areas will need to be level and cleared of vegetation. A dozer or grader would be used to establish the work area. Vegetation will either be crushed or mowed. Bucket trucks will be used to access damaged portions of the conductor. The Project is accessed by the Bureau of Power and Light Road, otherwise known as Forest Road 4N32. All road work will occur within the current limits of disturbance.
