Document Description
The project is in Humboldt County on Route-101 at Orick. The project proposes to install pavement markings, signs, channelizers, rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs), and lighting systems at various locations. Pavement Markings and Channelizers: Speed reduction markings will be installed for SB traveling traffic approaching Lundblade St. Median pavement markings and channelizers will be installed at existing marked crosswalks and at periodic intervals throughout the two-way left turn lane. Existing turn lane markings in-conflict with the median treatment will be relocated. No-parking pavement markings/hatching are proposed in the shoulder near Lowell St, Hufford Rd, Swan Rd, and Griffin St. Stop markings on Swan Road will be replaced. ETW stripe will be extended onto Hufford Rd. The two-way left turn lane for NB traffic approaching Hufford Road will be converted into a left turn pocket. Miscellaneous yield pavement markings will be removed. Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons and Lighting: RRFBs and lighting are proposed at existing crosswalks near the private road to Hansen St, near Drydens Rd, and mid-block between Swan Rd and Griffin St. Signs: A curve/intersection warning sign will be installed facing SB traffic approaching Lundblade St. Pedestrian signage will be modified.
