The Enhancing Biodiversity and Resilience in the Amargosa Basin planning project involves hydrological monitoring of the southern Amargosa Basin, preparation of a riparian restoration plan for the Amargosa River and Willow Creek, and preparation of a habitat restoration plan for the endangered Amargosa vole. The habitat restoration plans will involve additional information collecting such as a vole trapping effort for baseline population, and additional seed collecting of species to be utilized for the restoration of the Amargosa River and Willow Creek. The project will ultimately restore important riparian and wetland habitats in a desert ecosystem sustaining several wildlife and plant species. WCB Project Tracker ID: 2024050.
