Document Description
The project entails the restoration and seismic retrofit of the 1870 Cota-Knox house. The restoration will restore the original brick façade and portico in the front of the building and remove a circa 1930s enclosed porch at the rear of the building. The rear entrance to the Sala or Salon will be restored and accessed by a covered rear porch and new ADA-compliant ramp. The seismic retrofit of the structure will entail new footings, re-enforcement of the masonry walls, re-framing of the framed walls, and a new roof system.
