Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license. The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of outdoor mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor's Parcel Number (APN): 019-670-029-000. The applicant is seeking a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-821) and is also seeking an Adult-Use Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC). Cultivation activities will include approx. 9,31 0sqft of mature canopy in (190) total proposed 5'x5' raised boxes. Existing support infrastructure includes two (2) 1,000-gallon, a 1,500-gallon, a 5,000-gallon and two (2) 2,500-gallon water storage tanks; three 500-gallon nutrient mixing tanks; a solar array (BP2006-106); a permitted onsite groundwater well; two (2) 20'x20' garages for post-harvest processing, harvest storage and ag chemical storage; and a 16'x20' shop for post-harvest processing. There is a permitted septic system onsite that services the project's wastewater needs. Power for the project is provided by solar array. Proposed activities include the installment of two (2) 6'x40' hoop-houses for immature canopy; a 20'x20' cannabis waste area; and (190) 5'x5' raised boxes for mature canopy on previously disturbed area with hand tools only. Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
