The Project proposes a pocket park on a vacant 7,482-square-foot parcel located at 2006 Berkshire Avenue (APN: 5310-018-901) in South Pasadena, Los Angeles County, California. The Project entrance would include fencing and walls with a gated entrance and decorative park sign. A walking path starting at the entrance in the southern portion of the Project Site would open to a landscaped gathering area with picnic tables and seating areas. Adjacent to this gathering area and in the northwestern portion of the Project Site, the Project would include a painted four-square play court and several pieces of fitness equipment. The walking path would curve around the gathering area and lead to an open play area comprising grass that would occupy the eastern portion of the Project Site. In addition, the Project would include landscaping, new trees, stones, rocks, and/or boulders to delineate the various recreation areas. Benches, bollards with lighting, a drinking fountain, a pet waste station, and trash and recycling receptacles would also be provided onsite.
