Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Procession Code Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Cannabis Microbusiness License submitted on 3/22/2022, by WILDING WOMAN, INC. The proposed project will operate a microbusiness license out of an existing facility located at 6969 SIMMERLY RANCH RD, LAYTONVILLE, CA 95454 (APN 032-222-18-00). The applicant will store cannabis products for cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and non-storefront retail on 0.25 acres. The project consists of 5,000 square feet of specialty mixed-light tier 1 and 4,977 square feet of outdoor cannabis cultivation. The site will receive 75,000 gallons annually from Laytonville County Water District, that will be stored in 4 2,500-gallon tanks. The project will primarily utilize a 3,000-watt generator with a 7,000-watt generator as a backup.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption Project. Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. The Project involves the use of an existing industrial building facility with no proposal for building expansion. The design, location, size, and operating characteristics of the Project are compatible with the existing and future land uses within the vicinity as it is zoned light industrial zoned. None of the exceptions to the exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply to the Project.
