Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SIS-49165-R1I, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Siskiyou Telephone. The project is limited to routine maintenance activities within the Siskiyou Telephone service area. Routine maintenance activities are defined as those activities periodically scheduled and implemented as necessary to maintain the structural and functional integrity of existing public works facilities on or affecting those reaches of natural streams for which a notification of streambed alteration (Form FG 2023) would otherwise be required. Maintenance activities, which both parties agree may be considered "routine", are: Vegetation management around telephone poles and other facilities mostly by hand trimming of vegetation. Directional drilling for the installation of conduits, primarily to replace existing aerial facilities with underground facilities to better protect against fire and storm damage.
