Document Description
County is applying for a California Energy Commission, Clean Transportation Program, Charging Infrastructure for Government Fleets grant. If awarded, this project will install electric vehicle (EV) charging ports and electric vehicle supply equipment to 13 existing, paved parking lots at existing County-owned facilities and one leased facility. Approximately 178 EV charging ports will be installed in existing parking stalls in the paved parking lots. Project activities include restriping portions of the parking lot, installing new electric vehicle signage and electrical subpanel, and minor trenching (up to 5-ft deep) to provide electric service to each charging station. Grading may be required to comply with American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. The project is in support of County policy governing replacement and procurement of electric vehicles. Utility relocation, temporary traffic control, and landscape vegetation trimming and removal may be necessary
